Vi deler hermed en dansk oversættelse af manifestet til forsvar for Manoel Ribeiro-Lejren, som er blevet underskrevet af mere end 250 demokratiske personer, organisationer, foreninger, etc., originalt udgivet på CEBRASPO (cebraspo.blogspot.com).

VI VIL IKKE ACCEPTERE ENDNU EN MASSAKRE IMOD DET BRASILLIANSKE FOLKTIL FORSVAR FOR FATTIGBØNDERNE I MANOEL RIBEIRO-LEJRENS LIV OG FATTIGBØNDERNES FORBUND, RONDÔNIA
Vi, sociale bevægelser, mænd og kvinder, borgere i Brasilien og andre lande tager et stærkt standpunkt imod truslerne fra Bolsonaros regering og generaler om at frembringe endnu en massakre i landområderne. Den fornyligt begåede barbariske forbrydelse i Jacarezinho, hvor 27 blev henrettet uden at blive sigtet, stillet for en domstol eller dømt, i et land hvor der ikke er nogen dødsstraf, viser at de ikke tøver, hvis nødvendigt, med at bryde de love, som de selv erklærer at, de beskytter.
Nøglen til dette er allerede blevet fundet: Bolsonaro kalder alle sociale bevægelser, der kæmper for at forsvare rettigheder, herunder den hellige ret til land, for “terrorister”. Og ikke nok med det, fejrer de fremgangen af store godser, af den gamle og nye type (agribusiness), over de fredede skove, indfødte reservater og offentlig jord, i strid med lovgivningen og ved at fordømme, dem som ønsker at være observatører.
I den nuværende situation er Manoel Ribeiro-Lejren, fra Fattigbøndernes Forbund i Chupinguaia kommune i delstaten Rondônia, direkte kriminaliseret af Bolsonaro. Lige nu lever mere end 200 familier i området, og en ulovlig krigshandling imod bønderne er igang. Daglige og systematiske forfølgelser ved brug af tåregas, gummikugler og peberspray, forsøg på at belejre området, brugen af overflyvende helikoptere over lejren og det nærliggende område, og isolation som forhindrer familierne fra at bevæge sig for at købe basale livsfornødenheder, som et tydeligt forsøg på psykologisk tortur, terror og intimidering. Selv tilstædeværelsen af alment praktiserende læger er trukket tilbage, midt i COVID-19 pandemien, hvor vaccineringen af risikogrupperne bliver udført. Alle disse angreb på bønderne foregår på trods af at dommeren, som er ansvarlig for eksproprieringen af landet, har suspenderet processen og garanterer, den i hvert fald midlertidige, tilstædeværelse af bønderne på landet.
Regionen er en del af den tidligere Santa Elina Gård, hvor episoden der senere blev kendt som “Corumbiara Massakren” i 1995 foregik, kendt af bønderne som Den Heroiske Bondemodstand i Corumbiara, hvor 12 bønder der besatte landet blev dræbt af politiet og dusinvis flere kujonagtigt blev tortureret og tæsket, herunder kvinder og børn. Denne rædsommme gerning fandt sted under oberst José Hélio Cysneiros Pachás kommando, som i dag er Offentlig Sikkerhedssekretær i delstaten Rondônia, som leder de ulovlige handlinger imod bønderne der besætter jorden.
Kampen for land er en legitim ret, og jorden må tjene sin sociale funktion jævnfør den Føderale Grundlov (Artikel 186, CF/88). Det er faktisk bønderne, som der giver den grundlovsmæssige sociale destination til ejendommen, når de besætter den og omdanner et uproduktivt område til et produktivt område. Det er bønderne, som producerer maden, der når borderne tilhørende Brasilianerne, som i dag lider af hungersnød og pandemien. Vi kan ikke knibe vores øgne i for mere end tohundrede familier, herunder kvinder, børn og ældre, som utrætteligt har modstået disse ulovlige handlinger, der udgøres af réel tortur og statsterrorisme.
Vi slutter os sammen med de andre demokrater i Brasilien og andre i verden, som har vist deres solidaritet med Fattigbøndernes Forbund, når de siger: “Skal vi lade løgnen fortsætte? Skal vi lade dem anklage bønder bevæbnede med høtyve, kæppe, sten, almindelige jagtvåben, som forsvarer dem selv mod styrker betalt af latifundium (de store jordbesiddere) når de bliver angrebet, for at være terrorister? At de bruger dette som en retfærdiggørelse for at begå yderligere massakrer?”
Vi kræver den øjeblikkelige suspendering af alle handlinger foretaget af sikkerhedstjenesterne i delstaten Rondônia og den Brasilianske regering, herunder den Nationale Sikkerhedsstyrke, og den øjebliklkelige frihed for bønderne Manoel Ribeiro-Lejren, som blev arresteret den 14. maj 2021.
